Advantages of Artificial Intelligence Applied to Everyday Situations

Auto dealers are losing their battle with their customers when it comes to controlling the road to the sale. Customers have been emboldened by their access to information on the internet making them as informed as the salespeople who claim to have all the answers. The latest bump on the internet super highway, for customers that is, is the ability for auto dealers to apply predictive marketing messages coupled with personalized conversion tools on their websites. The salesperson has regained control of the steering wheel by answering their customers’ questions before they even have to ask them.

Artificial Intelligence has gotten a bad rap starting with its name since it isn’t as “artificial” as it sounds. Today’s software focused on enhancing the customer experience by providing transparency for online shoppers has a hidden power. It allows the auto dealer to monitor customer activity in their virtual showroom as well as subsequent online visits to competing dealerships or third-party sites. The data collected can then be applied to develop algorithms powering machine learning, (artificial intelligence), which can predict what the customer is really looking for. With that knowledge the dealer can deliver personalized targeted messages designed to satisfy the customers’ wants and needs by offering exactly the vehicle they are looking for.

The truth is that artificial intelligence is simply the collected wisdom and experience of the human beings that write the algorithms that drive it. There is no replacement for experience. The data accumulated by machine learning powered software platforms provide the collected experiences of thousands of customers along with the trial and error attempts to sell them a vehicle resulting in the best chance to earn their business. Human nature isn’t discarded by the software, it is collected and applied to their problem solving capabilities.

Software as a solution is a proven way to provide efficiencies in sales and service processes at an auto dealership by improving on the people part of the process. The secret to the next generation of artificial intelligence powered software is that the people are baked into the technical cake.

The challenge for auto dealers moving forward is to observe problems in their sales processes from their customers’ perspective. Solutions that allow the customer to feel like they are in charge will be more easily accepted than anything that even the best intentioned salesperson can present.

Old school wisdom based on understanding human nature aren’t replaced by software, even using artificial intelligence. They are simply enhanced with the power of technology which is the universal change agent.

A Guide to the Essentials of Your First Off-Road Adventure

Off-roading is a sport that is high in adrenaline and adventure, which makes it incredibly risky too, especially if you have never been on an off-road trip before. However, even the most experienced off-roaders were amateurs at one point, and they had to keep some of the essentials of off-roading in mind to make their experience thrilling as well as safe.

If you want to pursue off-roading, you need to pay mind to those essentials as well, some of which are listed below!

A 4×4 in Top Condition

Your average everyday car would not stand a chance against off-road environments, so you definitely need to invest in a vehicle that is rugged enough to take to the trails of the off-roading world. 4x4s are the most preferred choices for off-roading, and if you already own one, you need to ensure that it is in the best possible condition before your first off-road experience. Have it thoroughly checked by professionals, and get all its problems fixed. You should also invest in specialized off-road equipment such as high-end shock absorbers, off-road tires, and lights.

Invest in Protective Accessories

4x4s are really strong vehicles. But even the strongest of vehicles are prone to damage, especially on unpredictable off-road trails. In order to reduce the damage your 4×4 sustains, you should invest in accessories that protect your vehicle not just from the outside, but from the inside too. Some of the most popular protective accessories include aftermarket bumpers that protect the exterior from impact, and snorkels, which provide protection when you need to navigate through the deep water.

Don’t Forget the First-Aid Kit

Off-road trails tend to be located in remote areas, which are many miles away from any medical establishments. So, before you head out on a multi-day off-roading adventure, you need to assess your fitness levels. Irrespective of your health, you should always carry a first-aid kit. Due to the unpredictable nature of off-road trails and the stress involved, a lot of people experience health problems. In such situations, a first-aid kit becomes your best friend. Ready the kit with emergency medical supplies, and keep it in an easily accessible part of the car.

Inspect the Trail First

You might have settled for one of the easier trails for your first off-road experience. However, you still need to know as much as you can about the trail before you set off. The best ways to assess a trail include talking to off-roaders who have been there before, and of course, going to the trail and familiarizing yourself with not just the road, but the weather conditions as well.

Carry a Loud Whistle

You can’t expect mobile connectivity on off-road trails to be as good as it is in the city. If you ever run into a problem where you simply need help, you need some means of reaching out to other people. A good old whistle should be enough to do the trick. A whistle often attracts the attention of locals, and it may be the difference between you getting out of a sticky situation, or getting stuck in one.

Don’t just seek thrills on your first off-roading experience, seek safety too with the tips mentioned above. Buy off-road parts of a jeep to customize your jeep in your own style with skull krushers.

Motor Cars: Beauty and the Beast

Over sixty years of active motoring, one has observed with interest the changing styles followed by manufacturers in search of popularity and volume sales. From a British perspective it was always Ford of England that initiated a radical departure from the established norm, risking the derision of critics but, more often than not, capturing the imagination of a public always eager to be seen in something radically new. This pattern of progress continued virtually unchanged for five decades until it was overwhelmed by the Asian dominance of the new millennium.

In the 1950s, the new look in motor cars was ushered in by the Ford Prefect and Anglia saloons. The innovation may have had antecedents in the USA, where the evolution of private vehicles had continued while suspended in Britain during World War II, but, if so, it was reproduced without the ostentation and glittering chrome so characteristic of American cars of that era. At any rate, it proved immediately popular in Britain, and other motor manufacturers rushed to follow the new style, hoping at the same time to add some distinctive feature of their own.

The three-box style had a long life. It was amenable to great variation in detail and was readily adapted to two boxes in estate car or station wagon varieties. The influence of wind tunnel testing led to more streamlined shapes reputed to reduce air resistance and improve performance and fuel economy. Streamlines proved to be as aesthetically pleasing on cars as they were on aircraft and Ford continued to lead the way in an evolution that culminated in the universally popular KA model of the 1990s.

From there, there was nowhere to go. As far as is humanly possible, perfection had been achieved. The Ford KA inspired numerous copies from other manufacturers but all, in striving for a unique feature, degraded the beauty of the original. Many people, tired of constant pressure to buy something new, might have liked the KA to become a standard product in perpetuity. But the industry had now passed through Japan to South Korea and China, countries eager to promote worldwide sales of newly manufactured products.

Making something different from perfection means making something less pleasing to the eye and the Asian manufacturers have certainly succeeded in that quest. Yet so dominant is their global stance that the residual industry in the West has felt compelled to copy the Eastern degradation. It is an old English saying that after the Lord Mayor’s coach comes the corporation cart. In motor styling, the Lord Mayor’s coach has passed, and we are still waiting for the corporation cart.
